Turn off castling when clicking the king then clicking a rook.

Currently, when you select the king then select the rook, lichess will castle on that side if castling is valid. This can be problematic when you think about moving your king, but instead decide to move your rook, causing you to unexpectedly castle. This has happened to me many times in my games and recently occurred during one of John Bartholomew's recent bullet arena videos here: youtu.be/OwLPeZsiUOw?t=17m39s

This is incredibly frustrating for two reasons:

1) Castling by clicking the king then clicking the rook doesn't make sense as the king isn't moving to the rook's position- it's moving two squares to the left or right. It would make much more sense if the click-castling only occurred when you clicked the king, then clicked where the king will move to during castling.

2) There is no way to turn off this setting. I will never, ever purposefully castle in this way, but there is no way for me to turn off this setting to prevent me from castling unintentionally.

My request is that you please either implement the more intuitive click-castling I describe in (1) or add a way to turn off click-castling or click-moving entirely in the settings.

Thank you. I am a huge fan of lichess.org, but this behavior has always frustrated me.
The click castling as it works currently is virtually required for some 960 positions. Having a check box you can disable it, though, would be good I think.
I think you can castle manually in 960, too. You just have to know where to click/move so that castling is completed.
Well you can, but that's the problem. Some of the positions is just way easier to do the double click method because the castling can get a bit convoluted in some starting positions. I think maybe there's one where the king is already on the castling square and the only way to get the rook over is to do the click each piece method. I may be wrong though, I haven't done 960 in a long time. But regardless it's usually easier in 960 to not rely on trying to manually do it.

I'll say again though that I agree that having an option to disable it might be nice.
I'm bumping this thread since this really needs attention. I too have inadvertently castled long countless times because of this, and never use this method of moving. This needs to be a preference. That it might be needed in 960 should not influence the interface for standard.

Can a developer comment on why this hasn't been changed?
I would love to see a developer comment on this as well. Seems a logical solution to simply add an option in the preferences to turn click-moving off. I understand that it might not be implemented immediately, but I would love to see that the issue is at least acknowledged and being looked at.
Would turn off castling when putting the king on rook if it were an option. First chose to move king, then changed mind and clicked rook.
I would also like to see this option after inadvertently castling many many times.
