Mate with pure knight ...

There are so many complaints of players that they lost a game where the opponent had only one minor piece left. Ok, the defeat is correct, because a mate is possible. But there is a classical example where you can force it. Ever had that on the board?

Sure, that is rather „common“.

By the way, 57. ... Kf7 is a blunder because your Knight is on the wrong circuit resp. tempo missing/too much. 57. ... Kf6!! with a forced mate.

Edit: yeah, move 56.
Sorry, Sarg0n - you mean 56 ... Kf7
Yeah your comment is correct. I blundered before and couldn't hope for more than a draw. I never had this mate before - neither with opponent's help neither forced.
There is no forced checkmate even after 56...Kf6
Ok thanks, I was in the wrong line. Nice one!
