why i'am bad over the board and good online

hi guys
i just found it bit strange my rate is 1800 and i lose and made mistakes against 1400 or even 1300 over the board any advices
Classical ratings are inflated a bit here on lichess. You also might be nervous!
@yheya Not sure if this will help, but I like to set up my iPad next to my tournament board at home, play long time controls and play as if there is a person opposite me. It makes for a more "real" experience (plus I like actually moving the pieces on the board). Try it out!
Pressure does it for me. I am for some reason not at all good under pressure but just playing casually OTB or online makes all the difference. My game quality increases dramatically.
I'm 2270 USCF and 2000 lichess rating. I think mostly you just need to take your time. With OTB chess I really take my time to think of my opponent's responses. Just take it slow!
@chessanalyst The performance arena is one of the five points of growth. Gotta do it, even if it is painful. ;)
@DrHack what's this mysterious five points of growth, sounds intriguing...

@yheya all kinds of reasons OTB is different. I'm guessing you're not playing the same time control too, that's probably the biggest reason.
it could be several things.

One time I played a game in person against some girl. At one point she touched my hand.

I told here firmly : "Don't you touch my fucking hand! I need all my blood to go to my brain"

So be careful when playing against girls, they will try to cheat like that.

Also some people have a problem playing on a real board because they are used to this 2D look of online chess.
