I got insanely lucky

Weasled out of losing. I seen Nxe5 but forgot or didn't think my rook on h1 was undefended. I was thinking it was still protected.
But being resourceful pays out even against 2100+ rated players. This serves as good advice to lower rated players to play on even in losing positions. You can be tricky and get it back.

so maybe he couldn't take the exchange after all since his bishop would get trapped?

Ah he can though. Just playing e5 was a bad idea. Something like Bg5 would have won material there at the end. Was also thinking Rf6 but it might not be so good. Was most worried about Bg5 where I don't know what i would have done.
