Season 11 - Fourth Level - Group F

It’s crunch time as we head into the final month of the 11th Correspondence League – with titles, promotions and relegations all set to be decided.

The final three rounds will all be played simultaneously from Saturday, and the beauty of the format means no promotions have yet been confirmed and the only relegations are down to withdrawals.

Here is how things stand in your group ahead of rounds seven, eight and nine. A reminder – if two players finish on the same score, the following tiebreaks will apply in this order:

#1: Points vs. tied participants
#2: Match wins
#3: Sonnerborn-Berger score against group (not calculated in these league tables).

I’ve tried to include the various tiebreaks in the tables.

Group F (tier 4)
1. lee88 P6 Pts 10
2. davidfm62 P5 Pts 8
--------------------------------------
3. kaparroja P5 Pts 6
4. Sauli78 P5 Pts 5 (superior head-to-head vs jabc129 & KB91)
5. Silvester123 P5 Pts 5 (superior head-to-head vs KB91)
6. jabc129 P5 Pts 5 (Sonnenborn-Berger calculation required with KB91)
7. KB91 P6 Pts 5
8. oliverjrwise P5 Pts 4 (superior head-to-head vs out-of-mind)
--------------------------------------
9. out-of-mind P5 Pts 4
10. Rodilator P6 Pts 2

lee88 remains on course for a second successive promotion, unbeaten and with a two-point cushion at the top going into the final three rounds.

But davidfm62 remains very much in touch with a key game in hand, while kaparroja still has an outside shot at a top two finish. davidfm62 and kaparroja are playing un round six, while the top two meet in round nine. I suspect there may be some twists and turns to come in this promotion race...

The midtable quartet on five points are probably a little too far back to challenge for promotion, but must pick up points to ensure they stay up. Three points separates fourth to tenth - and bottom-of-the-table Rodilator will hope to evoke memories of his huge finish to avoid the relegation spots in tier three last season to stay up again this time. It is impossible to call!

Best of luck to all competitors in your final three games!
