To be clear, this isn't something that we wanted to do, and there's only two reasons that we collect your email: multi-accounting, and to reset your password.

For a while registering an email was optional for the sole purpose of resetting your password.

You can. But keep it to a minimum - excessivd multiaccounting is a bannable offence. Personally, me and most mods see no reason to keep amsecond account unless you are a public figure -- and much less reason to keep more than 2. So it is frowned upon, for many reasons that become clear only with significant modding experience.

What if I create an account with one e-mail, then I close it and create (with this same e-mail) another account and continue to repeat this process. Is it a 'bannable offence'?
