Connection.

Please can someone help me , what's the possible reasons for not being able to login on my home network but when I walk down the street like now, I can log in? Keeps saying lichess is unreachable connection times out when I'm at home. But played last night from home.
Sounds like your phone network provide is better than your home broadband. Reboot the router, perhaps. Try your phone on both the phone network and home wifi. Does it work at home on different devices? Check you're not on a wifi channel that's crowded. Check you're not using a really high channel as some devices can't handle all wifi channels. It's not working on any device at home I literally have to leave the house like now, I can't even log in through browser on the phone, won't even let me visit the forum I have to leave e the house to even do that? Silly question but can it mean I'm banned on my home network can't see it if I can log in here though
Still not letting me log in through my router but let's me through 4g using the phones data. But I need to log in through the router, it can't be a problem with my internet as every other site I can connect too
sounds like your router or your isp. did you try turning the router off and on again? maybe contact your isp for help. i can't see how you could be banned on your home network.
I contacted my ISP they said it's not a problem there side they ran checks on the router and I even restarted it. And lichess can ban through IP so what's you say they can't ban my home ip?
@BehindBluEyes Whilst lichess probably can technically ban by IP I'm not sure that they do. What would be the point? It's a powerfully stupid idea. Practically all internet users these days are either using dynamic IP addresses (most home broadband) or are on a mobile phone network's internal network (ie you're likely to have a 10.x.x.x style IP address). Banning an IP address can be trivially subverted by, amongst other things, rebooting your router. All you'd be doing banning IP addresses is causing problems for random future users of your services. I wasn't suggesting you reboot your router to get a new IP address, by the way, but just because most routers are crap and eventually need rebooting after a while.
ISPs are useless. I had months of calls to my ISP who blamed everything from my fridge to viruses before they replaced the decades-old wire from the telegraph pole to my house.
