@POWERMONGER

"imo @Onyx_Chess is a different case"

I have a problem where I type way too much:

1. I see a picture in my mind.

2. I type the words needed to communicate EXACTLY what I'm looking at.

3. It ends up lengthy.

4. I go to proof read where I "improve" my post.

5. The first 1-2-3-4-5 paragraphs all turn into chapters in and of themsevles.

6. I look at the book that I created and try to edit for brevity.

7. The 1-2-3-4-5 chapters now all turn into books and I'm left with an A-Z encyclopedia on the subject.

8. I will often, at that point, shake my head and "snap out of it", and just delete it or save it for another day.

I can't list the amount of times that I've posted a massive article, only to see someone like Sarg0n come along and basically sum it up my MAIN point in 1 sentence. Literally.

But to me, I find all of the tandem issues and side-notes just as relevant and important as the main point, so to leave any of them out, in my mind's eye, is as obstructive as leaving out the main point itself. This is the point I get compulsive on.

So it all gets written and then added to as I proofread, and then added to again as I ironically try to edit for brevity.

I'm fully aware that it makes me come off as presumptuous.

I'm fully aware that it makes me seem as though I must think that others value my words as holy gospel.

I'm fully aware of the appearance of pomposity and self-importance that it portrays.

I'm fully aware that most people don't do more than skim-read half the article, where none of my insight can be gleaned in a skim-read due to my writing style.

I'm fully aware of the time wasted/invested.

I've never thought that I'm straight up O.C.D. to the point of scrubbing my hands raw...
But when I start to think about the hours wasted/invested...

I'm curious if I couldn't benefit from an official diagnosis and a therapeutic dose.

Anyway. Enough about OCD.

"I dont think most of those who accuse others are cheaters."

Me neither, nowhere near a majority.
With that said, we've seen numerous people who exaggerated the matter end up being tagged.
If there wasn't merit to the psychology, there would be ZERO.

-

"...they just..."

I disagree with "just". There are many much more interesting reasons as to why they cheat.
I won't add to the chapters that myself and others have written; but the topic matter is extensive and fascinating.

"Check my game and chat from yesterday:" lichess.org/Hfc7Opdx#0

You can feel free to post lichess game-links directly. It will automatically post the board in the forums where people can simply scroll through the game.

With that said, nobody else can see what you two discussed while in-game. There is a spectator chat, and the in-game chat. Only the players can see what was discussed in-game.

"But just due the accusation I was feared that I did something bad"

I had the same concern when I was new.
I played terrible one week and brilliant the next, but they didn't ban me.
I also played a perfect game with a vicious and lucky tactical justification to end it, but they didn't ban me.

So I've learned that 99.99999% of the time Lichess can't be out there banning people who aren't actually taking advantage.

-

There are no worries around these parts.

Ultimately, just enjoy the game.
If you're on the most studious of levels, Lichess has what you need.
If you just want to play the odd game for fun, Lichess has you covered there too.

There really is nothing to find concern with in Lichess.
They're the gold standard for online chess.
They do an excellent job.
Cheaters usually don't make it very far up the rankings so beyond 2100 they get more and more rare.
If someone is not banned for cheating its most likely that they are in fact not cheaters.
However Lichess could do a bit more. Sometimes it takes days for an active cheater to be banned. I am following someone at the moment. This is most likely due to Moderators being busy.
I would suggest making @sarg0n a Moderator to expedite the process. He is very capable and a generally trusted guy.

Edit: 11 mins after I posted this the pumpkin got smashed with a ban hammer.

@Onyx_Chess

Thats why I posted lichessDOTorg/Hfc7OpdxFGIO to let people edit the link to get to the diagram with the chat on the left ;)

@POWERMONGER

The chat box is empty for us.

We only see what was written by spectators, or what was discussed post-game, or the /w banter from within the game.
@Onyx_Chess I tested the link when being logged out and messages were there. I cleared browser cache and yes, they are gone.

But I can make screenshot with that accusation if AR will deny his/her words (thats called evidence :D).

Anyway, cheaters are pita and ppl accusing without any evidence too :)
@LDog11

I apologize for not commenting earlier. Your comment deserves appreciation.

I found it completely funny, but got distracted between WANTING to give you koodos for the intellect, and ACTUALLY typing up a quick paragraph.

Seriously though, it was a perfect contribution.

I definitely got a chuckle.

Well done.
